Shrove Tuesday

All are welcome to attend a free pancake supper on Tuesday March 4 at 5:30 pm.

Pancakes are a traditional meal for many Christians on the last Tuesday before the season of Lent begins. Lent is the period of 40 days (not including Sundays) which leads up to the celebration of Easter. Lent is traditionally a season of fasting, so pancakes were a good way to use up ingredients like eggs, milk, and flour before Lent started.
